GM is buying a sub prime loan co for $3.5 billion. Sub primes got us into this financial mess so we now own 61 percent of a possible new sub prime mess. GM is also exploring an IPO – the small print at the bottom of their IPO contract states that the Fed Gov cannot be sued for the actions of the IPO. How convenient.

@travel1949 In my state a new battery manufacturing plant will result in approximately 400 new jobs. The company received $151 million in federal stimulus funding to build the new as part of the $2.4 billion from in the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 which was awarded for advanced battery and electric vehicle manufacturers. @memama2 Divide 300,000 by ten and that’s thirty thousand dollars a year for ten years. That’s a decent living, not rich but decent. They’ll pay income taxes with those jobs and they’ll spend money thereby stimulating the economy. Plus we help the environment by creating cars that run on battery’s. Plus the factory itself will generate money which will be taxed. I’ll bet the factory can pay back that money in less than twenty years. It’s called an investment and it’s a good one.
