You are not correct. The Democrats controlled the Senate from 2001 through 2003…coincidentally the years the economy was slumping. The Republicans controlled Congress from 2004 – 2007…coincidentally the years where we had records stock market highs and record low unemployment. The Democrats controlled Congress from 2007 to Present…coincidentally the years of the latest economic downturn.
That is a lot of coincidences.
